MR. BENNY JOHNSON Mr. Benny Joe Johnson, 60, of Hogansville, died Monday, March 5, 2012, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Harry Cain will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday. Mr. Johnson was born August 23, 1951, in LaGrange, son of the late LeRoy and Effie Estes Johnson. A lifelong resident of Hogansville, he was a 1970 graduate of Hogansville High School, received an associate degree from West Georgia Technical College, and retired from Industrial Specialty Fabrics in Hogansville as production manager. He was a former member of the Hogansville Lions Club. Survivors include his wife, Marie Hanners Johnson; daughter, Donna Duffey; son, Matt Johnson, all of Hogansville; sisters, Dolly Bonner of Americus and Patricia Moody of LaGrange; brothers, Tommy Johnson of Americus and Danny Johnson of Albany; and three grandchildren, Megan Hope Emery Duffey, William Thomas Johnson, and Benjamin Everett Duffey.. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Tuesday night, March 6th, at Claude A.
