Mr. Ben T. Ambrose, Jr., 82, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021, at his home. Born October 26, 1938, in Cordele, Mr. Ambrose was the son of the late Benjamin Thomas Ambrose and Sarah Adkins Ambrose. He served as a Lieutenant in the U. S. Army, earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia in 1961, and retired as a Senior Process Engineer for Milliken and Company following 38 years of service. Ben enjoyed gardening and splitting wood, but most of all he enjoyed studying The Bible. He was a member of the Christian Biblical Church of God and was ordained as an Elder in 2014. Survivors include his wife, Kay Ambrose of Hogansville; step-daughter, Corinn (Dennis) Byrne of Chain Valley Bay, NSW, Australia; brothers, Richard Spurgeon Ambrose of Vienna, GA, Robert James Ambrose of Manor, GA; and his sister, Alice Kathleen Black of Gainesville, GA. He was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Thomas Ambrose III, and his wife, Kim Ambrose. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Monday, February 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Elder Nolan Joseph will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
