MRS. BECKY DENNEY COOK Mrs. Becky Denney Cook, 59, of Hogansville, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Born April 9, 1949, in Hogansville, Mrs. Cook was the daughter of the late Zachary B. Denney and the late Lela Smith Denney. She lived in Hogansville most of her life and was employed as an office assistant for the Troup County Road Department. She raised two loving children and adored her three grandchildren; and enjoyed music, gardening, and tending to the yard at her home. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Leigh Cook and Michael Banks of Livingston, TX; son and daughter in-law, Andrew and Jessica Cook of Grantville; sister and brother in-law, Eva Mae and Harvey Duke of Carrollton; brothers and sisters in-law, Russell Denney of Spain, Zack and Linda Denney of Gulfport, MS, and Clifford and Beth Denney of Hogansville; and three grandchildren, Sam Banks, A.J. Cook, and Kobie Cook. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday night to visit with friends and share memories. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
