Barry Eugene Kirklin

MR. BARRY E. KIRKLIN Mr. Barry E. Kirklin, 55, of LaGrange, died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at West Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Kirklin was born August 19, 1958, in LaGrange, son of the late Edward Eugene Kirklin, Sr. and Lillian Walls Kirklin. A lifelong resident of LaGrange, he was a roofing and remodeling contractor and was a member of God's Open Door Church of Praise. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Johnson Kirklin of LaGrange; son, Lonnie and Nicole Johnson of Valley, AL; daughter, Marie Corey of Hogansville; his step-mothers, Wanda Stenger of LaGrange, Ann Rountree of Macon; sisters, Susan Vaughn of Temple, Donna Taylor of LaGrange, Heather Beal of Gray, Lisa and Jerry Cantrell of LaGrange, Sandy and Chris Atkins of Florida, Sherrill and Alan Henderson of Forsyth, Frances and Dennis Baer of Macon; brother Gene Kirklin, Jr. and his wife, Karen of LaGrange; sister in-law, Tammy Smith of LaGrange. and two grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Lamar Kirklin. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 19, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Ricky Smith and the Reverend Gene Kirklin, Jr. will officiate and interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
