Mr. Barry N. Jackson, 65, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Jackson was born March 19, 1955, in Troup County, son of the late Deward and Bonnie Staples Jackson. A 1973 graduate of Hogansville High School, he had lived in LaGrange for the past 25 years and attended Living Waters Baptist Church. Mr. Jackson received a heart transplant in 1999, was able to lead an active life since the transplant, and amazed his doctors with his longevity and quality of life.
Survivors include his daughters, Kelly and Tim Freeman of Newnan, Karen and Jordan Barnett of LaGrange; sister, Brenda and Randy McWhorter of Hogansville; grandchildren, Amber Jackson, Colby Freeman, Chase Freeman, Christopher Barnett, Riley Barnett, Ella Barnett; and a great-granddaughter, Bonnie Jackson.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p. m., Saturday, January 16, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Woody Woodard officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 3 Saturday afternoon.
