Mr. Barry E. Chapman, 64, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017. Mr. Chapman was born October 29, 1952, in LaGrange, son of the late Herman and Amelia White Chapman. A lifelong resident of Hogansville, he was a 1971 graduate of Hogansville High School and was employed for a number of years by Amoco Oil. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Heather and Jonathan Barber of Valley, AL; son, Brad Chapman and Christy Kelley of LaGrange; sister, Cathy and Greg Thompson of Eva, AL; brothers, Ronnie and Susan Chapman, Mike and Lynn Chapman all of Hogansville, Joey and Sarah Chapman of LaGrange; and grandchildren, Rebekah Lynn, Kent, Adrian, Tyler, Kolin, Braxtin and Chloe. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessica. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 17, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Allen Kirk officiating. he family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 3 Monday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
