Barbara Wright Tucker

Mrs. Barbara Ann Tucker, 76, of Grantville, passed away, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born March 8, 1940 in Meriwether County, Mrs. Tucker was the daughter of the late Ossie and Grace Ferrell Wright. She and her husband opened their first store in Grantville in 1973 and had lived in Grantville since 1977. She will always be remembered as a hard worker who loved her sons and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Billy Tucker of Grantville; sons and daughters in-law, Tony and Ann Tucker of Newnan, Chris and Elaine Tucker and Scott and Cindy Tucker, all of Hogansville; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Marlon Tucker; and her brothers, Jimmy Wright, Billy Wright, and Ferrell Wright. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday evening. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
