Mrs. Barbara Bryant Todd, 88, of Jonesboro, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, at Mountainside of Warm Springs.
Mrs. Todd was born September 28, 1935, in Decatur, Alabama, daughter of the late Carl Monroe Bryant and Mary Gladys Hester Bryant. A resident of the Atlanta area most of her life, she earned a Bachelors degree from Georgia State University and retired in 2000 as an agent for Marsh & McLennan Agency in Atlanta. She enjoyed genealogical research and was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames of America, National Society Magna Carta Dames and Barons, and National Society United States Daughters of the War of 1812.
Survivors include her children, David Todd and his wife Lynn Todd of Grantville, Brian Todd and his wife Sarah Todd of Covington, Melinda Todd Thompson and her husband Tony Thompson of Franklin; brother, Jimmy Bryant; grandchildren, Rebecca McCarty and her husband Gary McCarty, Nicole Naumann and her husband Matt Naumann, Joseph Todd and his wife Aime Todd, T.J. Brantley, Carter Todd; great-grandchildren, Tristan Naumann, Aiden Naumann, Ethan Todd, and Logan Naumann; and brother, James Monroe Bryant of Prescott, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Linda Louise Pesson, Sandra Jean Harrington; and brother, William Ronald Bryant.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, at LaGrange Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor James Mello will officiate and interment will be in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service.
