Barbara Phillips Haynes, 64, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, at her home.

Barbara was born January 20, 1958, in Carrollton, and was Holiness by faith. Her favorite past time was playing in the dirt come spring and she loved shooting pool, dancing, and going to the beach. Barbara worked many places, but really enjoyed working for Kimble's vending division. She loved kids and meeting people.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Donald Ray Haynes; her son, Dereck Adam Haynes, the apple of her eye (she was a Mama Bear when it came to her son), and her Yorkie, Belle. Other survivors include brother, Hugh Phillips; sisters, Felecia Jones and Tammy Pruitt; her mother in-law, Mary Haynes; several nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, and a special friend, Glenda Crowder. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Wayne L. Phillips; mother, Louise Tucker Barnett; grandfather, Rev. L.A. Phillips; grandmother, Ruby Rooks Phillips; a baby sister; and brother in-law, David Haynes.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Milton Hall will officiate and interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
