Barbara Jo Boswell

Mrs. Barbara Jo Boswell, 79, of Molena, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Navicent Medical Center of Central Georgia. Mrs. Boswell was born January 25, 1939, in Newnan, daughter of the late Hoyt Couch and the late Louise Henderson Couch Nichols. A former resident of Calhoun, she had lived in Molena for the past thirteen years and attended Elkins Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was employed as a waitress for a number of years. Survivors include her sons, Robert Brown, Dale Boswell, and Jeffrey Boswell, all of Molena, and James Brown of Ft. Collins, CO; sister, Doris Gillespie of Newnan; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Boswell, and her step-father, Jesse Nichols. The family will receive friends for viewing and visitation at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19. The family will also host a memorial service at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, at Elkins Creek Baptist Church in Upson County. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
