Barbara Jean Bishop

Mrs. Barbara Jean Bishop, 77, of Newnan, passed away, Thursday, August 5, 2021. Mrs. Bishop was born May 17, 1944, in Miami, Florida, daughter of the late Gene and Dorothy Atkins Gravitt. A resident of Coweta County since 1972, she enjoyed bird-watching and watching Dr. Phil on television. Survivors include her sons, Kenneth and Nita Bishop of Newnan, Steven Bishop and Karen Andrews of Heard County; and a granddaughter, Amanda Dorsey. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 9, at the graveside in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan, with the Reverend Clifford Bishop officiating. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
