MISS AVA CLIFFORD LUNSFORD Miss Ava Clifford Lunsford, 95, of the Harrisonville Community of Troup County, died Friday, December 27, 2013, at Twin Fountains Home in LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 29, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Dr. Frank McCook will officiate and interment will be in Providence Cemetery in Harrisonville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 3 Sunday afternoon. Miss Lunsford was born September 2, 1918, in Troup County, daughter of the late James Harris Lunsford and Ava Christopher Lunsford. She lived in Atlanta most of her life, where she retired as an executive secretary for Adair Realty. She returned to Harrisonville following her retirement and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Survivors a number of nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; and a very dear friend, Janice Gaulding. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
