Austin Zachary Scott

Austin Zachary "Zach" Scott, 22, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020, of injuries received in an automobile accident. Zach was born October 21, 1998, in LaGrange and was a lifelong resident of Troup County. A 2018 graduate of Callaway High School, he was employed at Rogers BBQ in Hogansville and had recently enlisted in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his mother, Deandre Hyatt of LaGrange; father, Jerry Scott, Jr. of LaGrange; grandparents, Tracie Norwood, Kathy and Greg Lawhorn; sisters, Breanna Scott, Harley Scott, Madison Carnes, Kristin Laster; brothers, Jessie Scott, Jerry Scott III; step-sisters, Courtney Brown, Erin Davis; step-brother, Steven Dean; aunt, Amanda Braswell; uncle, Christopher Langley; several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Tuesday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
