Austin Harold Schreuer

Austin Harold Schreuer, 42, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, of injuries received in an automobile accident.

Austin was born March 3, 1982, in San Diego, CA. He enjoyed traveling and even spent some time in Alaska, where he was a fisherman, before settling in Georgia. He was employed at Riverside Traffic Solutions in Roopville, GA, and he loved his job and the people that he worked with. They were like family to him.

Austin enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, kayaking, or just spending time at the river. He was a huge NASCAR fan and loved dirt track racing. Austin preferred a simple life. Most of his evenings were spent sitting on the porch having long conversations and spending time with his baby boy.

Survivors include fiancée, Erin Martin of Hogansville; son, Rowdy Schreuer of Hogansville; daughters, Ashlee Stone of Jamal, CA, Addisyn Schreuer of Chandler, AZ; his father, Dennis Schreuer of Simpsonville, SC; sisters, Nicole Richardson of Mansfield, TX, Jenna Williams of Surprise, AZ; and brothers, Sean Sarant of San Diego, CA and Chandler Schreuer of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Sarant Schreuer-Dixon.

The funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 3, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jimmy Yates will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
