Arnold Joseph Hunt

Mr. Arnold J. Hunt, 77, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. Mr. Hunt was born October 18, 1939, in Meriwether County, son of the late Jeff Ambus Hunt and Lela Dorrough Hunt. A lifelong resident of the west Georgia area, he lived in Heard County since 1980 and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Hunt was involved in construction most of his life and had owned and operated Arnold's Portable Buildings in Carrollton. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Hunt of Franklin; daughters and sons in-law, Rhonda and Terry Smith, Sandra and Lamar McCormick, all of Roopville; sons and daughters in-law, Roger and Tina Hunt of LaGrange, Robert and Arzu Hunt of Mersin, Turkey; sister, Jewel Gaddy of Hogansville; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Friday, December 16, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Dr. Stephen Peeples will officiate and interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Friday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
