April Dawn Meabrod

Mrs. April Dawn Meabrod, age 55, of West Point, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

April was born June 28, 1971, in LaGrange, and lived in Troup County most of her life. She was Baptist by faith, enjoyed cooking, and loved being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, David Meabrod; son, Jordan Whaley of LaGrange; grandchildren, Sofie Whaley and Noah Whaley; her Mom and Dad, Ruby and Randy Burnham of Hogansville; her sisters, Pam Staat of Hogansville, and Amanda Maddox; and brother, Jerry Hammett, Jr. She was preceded in death by her son, Justin Whaley; and her biological father, Jerry L. “Buck” Hammett.

Private interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
