Mrs. Annie Roden McGarry, 89, of Greenville, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. McGarry was born May 23, 1932, in Atlanta, daughter of the late Buford and Nancy Sweat Roden. She loved to cook and was a very loving and giving person who enjoyed people and especially loved her grandchildren. She lived in Florida for twenty years before making her home in Greenville twelve years ago and had attended Greenville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Gene Glaze (Terri) of Powder Springs, Nancy Wigley (Allen) of Greenville, Karl Warren (Susan) of Marietta; brother, Ralph Roden of Atlanta; sisters, Myrtice English of Oklahoma, Peggy Roden of McDonough; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard McGarry; daughters, Frances Smith and Sheila Henderson; and son, Steven Mark Warren.
The family will host a memorial service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, at Greenville Baptist Church, with the Reverend Jonathan Porter officiating. The family will greet friends at the church.
