MRS. ANNIE RUTH JACKSON Mrs. Annie Ruth Jackson, 81 of Newnan, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at her home. Born February 19, 1940 in Franklin, Mrs. Jackson was the daughter of the late Rufus Lance Arrington and Ruby Inez Abner Arrington. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Grantville since 1970, where she taught Sunday school for a number of years and sang in the choir. Mrs. Jackson was a mom to all and loved working with children. She taught vacation bible school and coached T-Ball for several years. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Yahtzee, and spending as much time with her family as possible. Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Regina Jackson of Newnan, Rhonda and Ray Miller of Grantville, and Renee and Joey Guiton of Newnan; sons and daughter in-law, Carl Bishop of Senoia and Kenny and Kelly Bishop of Sharpsburg; sisters and brothers in-law, Jeanette and Butch Mashburn of Franklin, Linda and Alton Lester of LaGrange, and Carolyn Gann of Hogansville; 8 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, William "Buck" Jackson; sisters, Gladys Arrington, Irene Bridgette, and Margaret Addison; and her brother, Junior Arrington. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 1, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Jonathan Hannah, Reverend Brian Hosmer, Reverend Randy Gilbert and Reverend Wayne Stewart will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for 12 until 2 Saturday afternoon. Condolences may be expressed at www.mckibbenfuneralhome.com
