MRS. ANNE MALLORY
Mrs. Anne Holder Mallory, 72, of LaGrange, died Friday, September 2, 2011, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Mallory, daughter of the late Henry and Maude Horn Holder, was born on May 19, 1939, in LaGrange, and lived in Troup County most of her life. She was proud to have served as the first female patrol officer for the LaGrange Police Department. Mrs. Mallory, a Christian by faith, enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her husband and family. She also loved crafts, painting, decorating, sewing, cooking, and anything related to the Christmas season.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Donald Mallory; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith Mallory, Michael Mallory, Gary and Meatha Mallory, Kerry and Elaine Mallory, and Charles B. and Kristin Mallory; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, with one soon to arrive; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her children, Lorrie Mallory Seymour, Charles Donald Mallory, Jr., and Janet Renee Mallory.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Monday, September 5, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home, with Minister Ken May officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 on Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
