Ann Lunsford Monteith

Mrs. Ann Lunsford Monteith, of the Harrisonville Community of Troup County,GA passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, at her home. Born November 6, 1936, Mrs. Monteith was the daughter of the late P.L. and Lucile (Lucy) Morgan Lunsford. She was a lifelong resident of Troup County and retired as manager of the Hogansville branch of Newnan Savings Bank. She was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle in LaGrange, was a former member of the Hogansville Pilot Club and was the first female member of the Hogansville Kiwanis Club, but caring for her family and being involved in her church were the most important parts of her life. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Ray Monteith; sons and daughters in-law, Tim and Denise Monteith, Scott and Pam Monteith, all of Harrisonville; daughter and son in-law, Patti and Allen Hunt of LaGrange; grandchildren, Patricia (Jim) Kelly, Timmy (Julie) Monteith, Holly Monteith, Adam (Amber) Monteith, Jacob (Malorie) Monteith, Zachary Monteith, Whitney (Jacob) Humphries, Duncan (Tyler) Moffitt; and 13 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 15, at Baptist Tabernacle Church in LaGrange. The Reverend Jimmy McMillian and the Reverend Frank Sledge will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at Baptist Tabernacle Church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
