Mrs. Ann McDowell Dedmon, 64, of West Point, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Dedmon was born July 10, 1952, in Manchester, daughter of the late Margaret Hunt McDowell Attaway and Ulyses Remberth McDowell. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she was a 1970 graduate of Hogansville High School and retired as office manager for Fluor Construction Company at Plant Wansley. She was a member of Baptist Tabernacle Church, where she had been active in God's Helping Hand ministry.
Survivors include her husband, Nolan Dedmon of West Point; daughter, Stephanie Gaddy of West Point; grandchildren, Trevor Gaddy and Trinity Gaddy; step-son, Dereck Dedmon of Atlanta; step-granddaugher, Krissa Dedmon; nephew, Christopher Stevens; aunt, Jewel Gaddy of Hogansville; uncle, Arnold Hunt and his wife Patricia of Franklin; and a number of cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles McDowell; sister, Kim Hall; and step-son, Trent Dedmon.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, at the Baptist Tabernacle in LaGrange. The Reverend Jimmy McMillian will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the Baptist Tabernacle from 1 until 3 Tuesday afternoon.
