MR. ANDY DOPP
Mr. Andy Dopp, 88, of Hogansville, died Sunday, October 3, 2010, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehab Center.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Willow Heim and the Reverend David Pickard officiating.
Born May 17, 1922, in Arkansas, Mr. Dopp served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was an Army veteran of World War Two, having served in Europe. He had lived at Hogansville for 66 years, was retired from James River Corporation in Newnan, and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Hogansville.
Survivors include his daughter in-law, Kitty Dopp of Hogansville; granddaughter, Lisa and Ken Webb, also of Hogansville; four great-grandchildren, Becky and Trey Hudson, Mandy Jones, Kendal Webb, and Kenzie Webb; great-great-grandson, Ryan Hudgins; and brother in-law, Tommy and Eloise Thrower of Hogansville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Thrower Dopp, and his son, David M. Dopp.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
