Mr. Andrew Clayton Carpenter, 85, of West Point, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Carpenter was born April 29, 1932, in Selma, Alabama, son of the late Andrew Glover Carpenter and Doris Sego Carpenter. A veteran of service in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, he lived in Troup County most of his life, was a retired carpet and flooring installer, and was Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Bettie Carpenter of West Point; daughter and son in-law, Teri and Clifford Barentine of LaGrange; sons and daughters in-law, Gary and Cindy Carpenter of LaGrange, Bradley and Carmin Carpenter of Lanett, AL; sister and brother in-law, Debra and Lonnie Smith of Barnesville, AL; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A service is not being planned at this time.
