Mrs. Amy Washington, 53, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Born February 6, 1968, in Newnan, Mrs. Washington lived in Troup County most of her life and had owned and operated Smoke Stop Vape Shop and Mimi's One Stop BBQ Restaurant in LaGrange. She attended Dunson Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and being with her grandbabies. She loved to cook and was a strong supporter and member of the local public safety family.
Survivors include her husband, Alan Washington; children, Julie, Joseph, Neal, Jonathan, and Mandy; grandchildren, Kaleb, Landon, Cheyanne, Brianna, Kennedy, Stryker, Wesley, Lauren, Jessica, Olivia, Robert, and Taylor; her parents, Beverly and Bill Meadows; brothers, Daniel Meadows, Billy Meadows; sisters, Michelle Blakley, Amanda Jordan;, extended family, Cindy, Zack, Josh, Tyler, Cameron, Jarrett; and her puppies Sugar, Teddy, and Harley. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, William Stamps; grandmother, Elorene Stamps Denny; father, Stan Seegar; brother, Britt Seegar; aunt, Ann Rivers; and best friend, Linda Grant.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Kenneth Cole will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 Sunday night.
