Mrs. Amy Renee Elder (White), 44, of Hogansville, moved home with Jesus on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
Amy was born February 14, 1979 in Riverdale, Georgia, and was a 1997 graduate of Newnan High School. She was a ministry leader, entrepreneur, and bookkeeper, but most importantly, she loved being the best wife, momma and mimi.
Amy trusts her life and eternity in the hands of Jesus, the Son of God and Savior of the world. She is a disciple of Jesus, child of God and daughter of the King of Kings, and served God faithfully after surrendering her life to Him in her early 20's. Her trust in God permeated every aspect of her life as she loved her family, friends and even her enemies.
While on this earth, Amy loved very, very well. She forgave easily and was generous to all. Her smile could light up any room and her personality was magnetic. Amy loved the 80's, New Kids on the Block, Fall weather and the Christmas season. She was also a movie fanatic and adored classics, such as, License to Drive, Pretty in Pink, Can't Buy Me Love, Girl's Just Want to Have Fun and more. She also loved the show Friends, and romantics like, the Notebook and Titanic. Amy was also hilarious. She loved comedians like Trey Kennedy, Tim Hawkins and John Crist. And, like all of us, she loved Chic-fil-a. Above all, she loved God's word. It was the foundation to her life, a lamp to her feet and light to her path.
Her family and co laborers in Christ include her husband, Ebo Elder; daughters, Mattie Wise, and her husband, Blake Wise, Abbie, Gabbie and Addie Elder; grandsons, Dillon and Micah Wise; her parents, Mike and Brenda White, all of Hogansville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Traci and Tony Shearer of Newnan, Bethany and Blandon Garmon of Sharpsburg; nieces and nephews, Caleb and Abigail Shearer, Emily Shearer, and Luke Garmon; great nephew, Logan Shearer.
The family will host a celebration of Amy's life at Oaklawn Baptist Church at 482 Pine Road, Newnan, GA on Friday, October 6th at 6:00pm.
