MR. ALVIN H. PERKINS Mr. Alvin Houston Perkins, 59, of LaGrange, died Sunday, October 4, 2009, at Hospice LaGrange. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. Born February 18, 1950, in Cleburne County, Alabama, Mr. Perkins was the son of the late Roy and Annie Ruth Hemmings Perkins, and was also preceded in death by his brother Roy Lamar Perkins and his twin brother, Calvin Paul Perkins. He was employed as a carpenter. Survivors include his children, Johnny Perkins of Newnan, Steve Perkins and Kimberlee Perkins, both of LaGrange, and Rebekah Wortmann of New York City; grandchildren, Justice, James, Jaylen, Jacob, Tyler, Jonathan, Ashley, Kelsey, Gabrielle and Logan; great-granddaughter, Katie; brothers, Ray Earl Perkins of Cusseta, AL and Ricky Perkins of LaGrange; and sister and brother in-law, Mary and William Smith of LaGrange.
