MRS. ALMA G. WHEELUS Mrs. Alma Green Wheelus, 82, of Hogansville, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 30, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Max McCord and Pastor Alex Montgomery officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday. Born August 25, 1929, in Albany, Mrs. Wheelus was the daughter of the late Lewin Green and Nellie Hornsby Green Pitts. She lived in Hogansville most of her life, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was employed many years as a secretary at Uniroyal, Inc. Survivors include her daughters and son in-law, Susan Webb of Hogansville, Gayle and Norman Schuck of Canton; and grandchildren, Lindsay Webb and Steven Schuck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Wheelus, and she passed away on their wedding anniversary. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
