Alma Jean Spradlin

Mrs. Alma Jean Spradlin, 78, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Newnan Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Spradlin was born May 16, 1937 in Roanoke, Alabama, daughter of the late J. B. Steele and Carrie Lee McKee. She lived in Coweta and Heard counties most of her life, was Baptist by faith, and enjoyed cooking and baking. During the almost ten years since his death, she had continued to love and miss her husband, Leon Spradlin. Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Allen and Karen Spradlin of Temple; brother, Ernest and Maybelle Boatright of Greenville; granddaughters, Mary and Anthony Thacker of Hogansville, Samantha and Tony Gaddy of Newnan; and great-grandchildren, Caleb Brown, Landon Hildebrand, Aubrey Thacker, and Jayden Gaddy. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night.
