Alice Louise Overman

Mrs. Alice Louise Overman, 85, of Tyrone, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024, at Pruitt Health in Greenville.

Mrs. Overman was born March 9, 1939, in Atlanta, daughter of the late Jack and Ruby Chadwick Ruff. A resident of the Atlanta area most of her life, she worked as a florist for many years and later worked as an accounts payable clerk prior to her retirement. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Riverdale for many years and had been a member of Grace Covenant Worship Center in Hogansville for the past 30 years. She enjoyed working with crafts and loved to read.

Survivors include her daughter in-law, Kinnett Sims and her husband Casey Sims of Tyrone; grandson, Jarrad Lee Overman and his wife Amy Overman and their children Jewell Ann Overman, Haley Bechtol, C J Bechtol, and Brielle Leah Overman; granddaughter, Andrea Brand and her children, Corbin Braswell, Kaylan Braswell, Olli Brand, and Brooks Brand; grandson, Jimmy Green and his wife Erica Green; and sister, Kitty Diffley and her husband Steve Diffley of Marietta. She was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Lee Overman.

Plans will be announced for a memorial service to be hosted by the family at Grace Covenant Worship Center during the month of October.
