Alears Ruge Hale

November 11, 1931 — January 7, 2020

Mr. Alears Ruge Hale, 88, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Hospice LaGrange. Mr. Hale was born October 11, 1931, in Randolph County, Alabama, son of the late Steven and Minnie Huddleston Hale. A resident of Troup County most of his life, he was employed by Milliken and Co. and then by G. E. Robinson Trucking. Mr. Hale enjoyed traveling and visiting new areas. Survivors include his sons, Gary Hale of LaGrange, Anthony and Carrie Gatens of Hogansville; grandchildren, Payton Hale, Jaidah Hale, Ryan Gatens and his wife Kamren, and Blayton Scott; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Pressley Hale. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Friday, January 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Tom Kennedy will officiate and interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Friday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
