Agnes Blanks Henson

MRS. AGNES HENSON Mrs. Agnes Henson, 78, of the Louise Community of Troup County, died Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with interment in Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Henson was born November 13, 1935, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Herman and Maggie Robinson Blanks. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she was a founding member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church, was employed for many years at the Dixie Division of West Point Pepperell, and retired from LaGrange Molding. She was the wife of the late William Jack Henson and for the past fifteen years, she served as a caregiver for members of her family. Mrs. Henson is survived by a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Salvation Army in LaGrange. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
