Mrs. Adelle Bowen Hanners, 99, of Hogansville, went to her Heavenly Home to be with Jesus on Saturday, August 6, 2022.
Mrs. Hanners was born May 11, 1923, in Randolph County, AL, daughter of the late William Rufus Bowen and Lucy Hale Bowen. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she was Pentecostal by faith and retired from the Dunson Division of West Point Pepperell in 1995. She spent her life witnessing about the Word of God and being saved through the wonderful name of Jesus.
Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Sherry Pruitt, Gayle and Robert Hendrix, June and L. T. Hogan, all of Hogansville; brother, Gene Bowen of LaGrange; sister in-law, Grace Bowen, also of LaGrange; grandchildren, Kimberly White (Randy), Kaye Ford (Jim), Chad Hendrix (Tina), Marc Hendrix (Shay), Gayla Hogan; great-grandchildren, Matthew White (Hanna), Nicholas White, Erica Hendrix, Mason Hendrix, Dustin Morris, Marcus Hendrix II; and great-great-granddaughter, Madison White. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie O. Hanners; son in-law, James Levon Pruitt; grandson, Christopher Levon Hogan; four sisters; and two brothers.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend David Simmons will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday.
The family requests that facial coverings be worn by those in attendance.
