Mr. William Evans, 75, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Evans was born June 22, 1945, in Meriwether County, son of the late Herman and Christine Hayes Evans. A resident of Hogansville most of his life, he was a retired self-employed appliance serviceman who was known for his prompt and knowledgeable service. Mr. Evans was a member of Born Again Ministries in Newnan and the Hogansville Masonic Lodge, enjoyed attending the Sunbelt Expo, and loved Ford vehicles and anything with motors.
Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Sherrie and Lonnie Clayton; grandchildren, Holly and Devin Lassetter, Kelly and Brad Leonard; and great-grandchildren, Addyson Lassetter, Ayla Lassetter, Amelia Lassetter, Brooks Leonard, and Briggs Leonard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Evans; and his great-grandchild, Baker Leonard.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Tony Grant will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night.
