Ralph James Calhoun

MR. RALPH J. CALHOUN, JR. Mr. Ralph James Calhoun, Jr., 70, of Thomaston and formerly of Hogansville, died Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 3, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend James Calhoun will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. Mr. Calhoun was born January 27, 1940, in Newnan, son of the late Ralph James Calhoun and the late Mary Frances Weir Calhoun Hawk. He was a veteran of service in the U.S. Navy, was Baptist by faith, and was a retired carpenter. Survivors include a son, Drew Calhoun; a daughter, Janet Lee Calhoun; brother and sister in-law, Edward and Frances Calhoun of Grantville; a niece, Crystal Hogan; and great-nieces, Cierra Hogan and Schae Hogan. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 12 noon until 2 Monday afternoon, January 3rd, at Claude A.
